Here´s short review to our new album “Once upon a time” by Dave from Revenheart Music.
“Xiphea is a German metal band. Renè, Neil, Thamas and vocalist Sabine started the project in 2011. Since then the band released one EP ‘Masquerade’ and the full length album ‘From the uncharted island’. This is their second full length record that has just hit the stores and the band describe their musical style as fairytale metal. What we have then are ten tracks of melodic fairytale metal about witches, dwarfs and other Fairy Tales on this album. Magical melodies and Sabine’s innocent angelic vocals make for a catchy mix of music coupled with a certain amount of heaviness. Fave tracks a plenty, but the hideously catchy ‘The Shrine Of Ama’ is one of my faves from this cd as is ‘The Little Mermaid’. Xiphea’s website is at www.xiphea.com.
